Last updated: January 27, 2026

Part A — Community Guidelines (What’s allowed)

1) Be respectful

Do not harass, threaten, shame, bully, or target others. This includes:

  • insults or degrading comments,
  • unwanted sexual remarks,
  • intimidation or coordinated harassment.

2) No hate or discrimination

Content or usernames that promote hatred or violence against people based on protected characteristics (e.g., race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability) are not allowed.

3) No sexual exploitation or sexual content involving minors

Focido is 16+. Any sexual content involving minors is strictly prohibited and will be removed and may be reported to relevant authorities where required.

4) No illegal content or dangerous instructions

Do not use Focido to promote illegal activity or provide instructions that enable harm.

5) No self-harm encouragement

Do not encourage, promote, or glorify self-harm or suicide.
If you or someone you know is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services.

6) No spam, scams, or manipulation

Prohibited:

  • spammy nudges, repetitive promotions, or off-platform solicitation,
  • scams, phishing, or deceptive links,
  • attempts to manipulate XP/Credits/Virtual Items, rankings, or engagement (e.g., multi-accounting, automation, coordinated abuse).

7) Privacy and personal data

Do not share personal data of others without their permission (doxxing), including:

  • phone numbers, personal emails, home addresses,
  • private photos, IDs, or financial information,
  • any sensitive data that could identify someone without consent.

You are responsible for the content you include in task text, nudges, and uploads. Avoid posting sensitive personal data.

8) Usernames, avatars, and profiles

Usernames, avatars, bios, and profile content must follow these rules:

  • no impersonation,
  • no hate or harassment,
  • no explicit sexual content,
  • no content intended to provoke or deceive.

9) Content you post is your responsibility

You control what you make public. Public content may be viewed, copied, or shared by others.

Part B — Safety Policy (How we keep Focido safe)

10) Safety tools available to users

Focido provides:

  • Report Dialog options (e.g., Spam / Toxic behavior) in safety settings
  • Report User / Block User in the safety menu for sessions
  • Optional Anonymous Public mode for public views (hides username/avatar/profile link)

Note: Focido currently does not provide direct messaging (DM/chat).

11) What happens when you report

When you submit a report, we may review:

  • the reported content and related context (e.g., the relevant session/activity),
  • signals that help us detect abuse and protect the Service.

We use reports to:

  • remove or limit visibility of content,
  • restrict features,
  • suspend or terminate accounts for serious or repeated violations.

We may take action even if we cannot share details (e.g., to protect privacy, prevent retaliation, or maintain integrity).

12) Blocking

Blocking is designed to help you avoid unwanted interactions. When you block someone:

  • we limit their ability to interact with you through relevant in-app flows,
  • we may still keep minimal records for safety, fraud prevention, and compliance.

13) Moderation principles

Our moderation focuses on:

  • user safety,
  • fairness and consistency,
  • preventing abuse (spam, manipulation, scams),
  • protecting the motivation economy (XP/Credits/Virtual Items).

We use a combination of:

  • user reports,
  • human review when needed,
  • technical signals to detect abuse.

14) Enforcement actions

Depending on severity and history, enforcement may include:

  • warning and education,
  • content removal or reduced visibility,
  • temporary restrictions (e.g., limiting posting/reporting),
  • suspension,
  • permanent account termination.

For the most serious issues (e.g., sexual exploitation, threats of violence), we may take immediate action without prior notice.

15) Appeals

If you believe an enforcement action was a mistake, you can request review by contacting [email protected]. Provide:

  • your account email,
  • what happened and when,
  • any relevant context.

We do not guarantee outcomes, but we do review good-faith appeals.

16) Data handling for safety investigations

To investigate abuse and handle appeals:

  • Nudge logs may be retained for up to 90 days for Trust & Safety investigations and appeals.
  • Some operational records may be retained longer where required for legal, finance, or security reasons (including up to 7 years in limited cases), as described in our Privacy Policy.

We do not store IP addresses in our databases (they may be processed transiently for security operations by infrastructure providers).

17) Enforcement transparency and updates

These Guidelines may be updated as the product evolves. The “Last updated” date indicates when changes take effect.
