Accountability doesn’t work on a fixed schedule. Some people are most productive at 6am. Others hit their stride after 10pm. And getting nudged at the wrong hour doesn’t motivate you. It just irritates you.
That’s the thinking behind v0.3.3. This release is about giving you real control: over when you get reminded, how you’re discovered, and how you organize the things and people that matter to you.
What We Changed
Custom Nudge Timing
You can now set a custom start and end time for your nudge reminders.
Your motivator can still send you a nudge whenever they want. But the notifications respect your window. No pings at 7am if you work nights. No interruptions during your focus block.
It’s a small setting that changes the whole dynamic of how accountability feels.
Favorites, Redesigned
Before, Favorites was a flat list. Everything mixed together: people, tasks, clubs. Useful? Kind of. Organized? Not really.
Now Favorites has three tabs: People, Tasks, and Clubs. Find what you’re looking for instantly. Build a proper list of the people supporting you, the tasks you want to track, and the communities you’re part of.
Share User Profiles via Deep Links
You can now share any user profile with a link. Drop it in a message, a group chat, a post, wherever. The link opens directly in the app.
This matters for building community. If you know someone who’d make a great motivator, or you want to introduce your accountability partner to someone else, one tap is all it takes.
Leaderboard: Tap to View Profiles
The Leaderboard used to be a list you could look at but not really explore. Now tap on any user and open their profile directly. See who they are, what they’re working on, whether they’re available to motivate.
Discovery in accountability apps is underrated. This makes it easier.
Profile Controls: Password and Visibility
Two things users kept asking for are finally here:
- Change your password directly from the profile screen
- Control who sees your profile: manage visibility without digging through settings
Premium Success Screen and Profile Edit Menu
The Premium flow now has a proper success screen so the moment actually lands. And the profile edit menu is cleaner and more intuitive.
Small stuff. But the kind of small stuff you notice when it’s done right.
What We Fixed
Smarter Motivator Notification Handling
Before, notifications for motivator actions could pile up or fire in a confusing order. We’ve tightened the logic: fewer duplicates, better timing, more relevant triggers.
App Version Check via Remote Config
We can now push version checks and requirements remotely, without waiting for a full store release. Faster response when something needs to be updated or blocked.
Why This Release Matters
Every feature in v0.3.3 is about the same thing: making Focido fit your life.
Custom nudge hours. Organized favorites. Shareable profiles. Better discovery. These aren’t “features” in the roadmap sense. They’re the answer to feedback that sounded like: “I want to use this more, but it needs to work my way.”
Accountability is personal. The app should feel that way too.
